There's a new art gallery on St. Croix!  Bassin Fine Art is located at 5 Company Street in the courtyard behind Remax.  This exciting new space will feature painting, sculpture, glass and ceramics from artists throughout the Caribbean.

Until 1665, Bassin ('harbor' in French) was the name of the town we know today as Christiansted, and gallery owners Sam Dike and Ted Davis chose the historic name for their new venture.  Following on the success of D&D Studio Fine Art Photography gallery, they are providing a beautiful and professional space to display artwork and a friendly experience that customers have come to expect from D&D Studio.

Co-owner Sam Dike is the grandson of Phil Dike (1906-1990), a  famed California artist who also worked on many Walt Disney animated films, including Snow White and Fantasia. Sam grew up exposed to all areas of the art gallery business, from attending his grandfather's gallery openings as a toddler,  to helping his grandparents deliver artwork as a teen. "Art is in my blood. My creative grandparents were instrumental in providing me with the basis for art appreciation, an eye for creative detail, and the skills for creating a special environment that comes together at Bassin Fine Art."
